Social Media is an incredibly powerful communications tool. A good Social Media strategy can make a huge difference to how your organisation, whether it be in sharing information with existing clients, making more personal connections, gaining valuable feedback or recruiting staff and volunteers. This one-day training course will equip you with the information that you need to develop and maintain a consistent and achievable Social Media presence for your own organisation, and one that is closely aligned to organisational goals. You'll come away from this session with an understanding of how social media can help your organisation achieve its aims, how you can protect your charity, staff and volunteers with a simple policy, which channels are key to your online presence and content planning techniques. We look at the various platforms available, how to clarify your own Social Media needs, and you'll also get a chance to get hands-on with Twitter - exploring the fundamentals, Lists, Hashtags and more - plus you'll learn what makes a Facebook Page or Group really work. If you are able, please bring a laptop to this session. If you cannot do so, please let us know in advance so we can supply one.
